PIRRO FARM We are in the province of Foggia, in the Cuparoni resort, on the SS160 that leads from Lucera to Troy, and Joseph, Stefano and Nicola are the three brothers who have been running the farm for fourteen years. Pirro, the organic farm, surrounded by the bright green Puglia countryside, is set amongst an old farmhouse. The true pride of the house is the cellar, where we come across Nero di Troia, the native grape grown exclusively in this area of northern Puglia. The company is part of the Campagna Amica Foundation (promoted by Coldiretti) and belongs to thirty producers of the Daunia & Bio group, which has as its objective the qualification of certified organic products and the enhancement of local specialties: in particular, the Pirro is engaged in the cultivation of an ancient variety of wheat known as Senatore Cappelli, for the production of dry pasta.
