The Tavoliere offers countless opportunities to enjoy beautiful landscapes and fascinating ancient villages rich in history, culture and art. Castles, forts and farms are characterized by different architectural styles which in some cases overlap. Stratification can trace the history of this region from the Neolithic to the present day. From the remains of a Dauno settlement (VI-III century BC), near Ascoli Satriano to the well-preserved remains of the Roman city of Herdonia, currently known as Ordona, and to the Apulian-Romanesque and Baroque peoples, spread around Troia, Lucera and Manfredonia Barletta, where you can also visit the Pinacoteca De Nittis, containing the works of the famous artist (1846-1884) of realism and impressionism.Not to mention the unforgettable experiences you can gain from travelling through this vast plain that rises north of the rolling hills, enjoying the view from Orsara di Puglia and Cattle, one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. Endless expanses of wheat, olive groves, vineyards and orchards from which emerge as islands authentic farms, some historical and those of Cerignola, whose products are the deserved reward of the traveller.
